Runaway Love

His heart races as he speeds past the last known fragments of his ever fleeting existence. He was forced to choose: stay as he was and endure suffering for however long his life would last, or run away and forget the pain caused by the ones who claimed to love him. He chose the latter, fleeing from every single ounce of reality once known to him. He hopes and prays that running will be enough to save his already distraught soul.

Gradually he loses speed, stopping in the emptiness of the dark abyss, with only the slight glow of the stars to retrieve him from the denial in which he resides. The unparalleled darkness of the night calms his still pounding heart, and his breathing begins to slow. Admiring the stars, he stoops down, eventually changing his focus to the ground below him, rather than the universe above him. He lightly touches the damp grass under him, trying to remember a time when things were simpler. Unfortunately, things never were simpler, and in his view, times were never going to change.

He sat down on the grass, letting the cool dew seep into his clothes. Raising his head he takes in the glorious, fiery, explosion of sunlight just beginning to expose itself over the horizon. Realizing that the seemingly endless night has finally come to an end, he stood erect and began to move. He keeps pushing forward into the blazing sun, never knowing what will come next, but always knowing that no matter what occurs after this day, it will, undoubtedly, be painless compared to the agony he once experienced.

And The Car Went CRASH.

Every window has been shattered, flinging slivers of glass to the four corners of the earth. The sirens are blaring at an unbearable pitch as the emergency crews approach. By this point in time traffic has come to a standstill forcing the impatient drivers to become frustrated with what has occurred.

Horns reverberated as the already annoyed drivers lose every ounce of sanity left.

As the emergency relief finally arrives the scene has become an overwhelming vat of chaos. The crowd of onlookers begins to expand, slowly at first, and then at a more exponential rate.

The bodies that were hurled from the car are carefully covered as not to cause nightmares for those watching.

A series of unfortunate events occurred this wintry night, resulting in the abrupt death of the family who had been driving so precariously this cold, dark night.

In Your Heart

The time has come to hear just what I mean to you. I’m scared to know, yet eager to learn. As night I’ve dreamt of a time when you truly cared. I’ve dreamt of a time when you come to me and let me be the one for you.

Oh, how long has it truly been? I have longer for your touch, for your sent, for your arms to hold me tight. Have you ever noticed that I need that? Have you ever noticed that I need you? I feel as though around me you put up a barrier, a false pretense. Never letting me close.

I fail without you and I wish you knew, I wish you felt the same.

Be My Anti-Valentine

I never truly cared for Valentines Day, something about it just always irked me. But within the past two years I have come to almost despise it. The whole premise of the holiday is relatively retarded. The whole thing just makes single people feel as though they aren’t good enough, and it makes people who actually have someone feel as though they are forced to do something special.

What ever happened to loving a person each and every day of the year? Is humanity so pathetic that we have declined to the point that we need a national holiday to tell us that we should love one another? What has our world come to?

From Suffering Comes Unbounded Joy

A long, twisted road full of holes and roadkill. Only an inept rider would ever dare to climb the brutal mountain. Only his strength against the power of gravity. With each pedal stroke getting him closer to the summit, closer to his finale. Each gasp for air brings him that much closer to when this torture will finally subside.

The climbs becoming more unforgiving now. The rider no longer feels the same tranquility as when first beginning this outrageous pursuit for the top. The riders feelings transform from a peaceful calm to unmatched anguish.

Every breath is a prayer, a prayer for the end of the ride to ultimately arrive. Every pedal stroke, every push is pure agony.

The rider has turned from man to machine now. His legs move no longer for the pleasure of the ride, but now they move out of habit. They move without pain, they move to get him to the top. The ride is no longer the joyous adventure that it started out as, but now it has turned into the opposite; an agonizing, hurtful climb that has torn the rider down.

As the end gradually approaches the rider feels the joy that was once lost. He now remembers the reason he continued to push, pedal stroke by pedal stroke. He remembers why he trained those four long months in preparation for this monumental event.

As he crosses the line tears fall from his eyes. The mixture of unrivaled suffering and the unparalleled pleasure overpowers him as he drops the bike to the ground. The ride is over as is the pain, that is, until next year.
