Second place is a pretty way of saying you lose.  Imagine, if you will, a world in which you are always out done.  No matter what you are capable of doing there is always one person out there that out shines you. A person is only as good as his or her actions, and if that persons actions are always over looked then that person is never as good as another.  Why is it that in this world one is considered better than another, prettier than another, smarter than another?  We all excel in our own way, why should we be compared to a person that excels in another aspect?  The unfortunate part of this equation is that no matter what is sad by any one person, this is never going to change.  Certain people are always going to be considered better than the rest, and the majority are always going to be over looked.

It is true that we live in a sad world.
